Join us in changing the fabric of the uniform industry.
Change Threads is Australia’s first Fair Trade and sustainable school uniform company. We are building a business with purpose, one that delivers high-quality, ethically made uniforms while supporting real social impact in garment-producing communities. Our model is rooted in transparency, partnership, and long-term sustainability.
The opportunity is big, and the timing is now.
🎓 The Market
The Australian school uniform market is valued at over $1.4 billion annually, with over 4 million students across public and private schools.
Yet despite the scale, no major supplier currently offers uniforms that are Fair Trade, organic, and sustainability-certified. The industry is dominated by synthetic-heavy, opaque supply chains with little to no visibility of labour practices.
This is where Change Threads stands out, offering a transparent, traceable alternative with high-quality design and a values-driven story that schools and families are ready for.
🧵 Why We’re Seeking Investment
As a startup in ethical fashion, one of our core challenges is managing minimum order quantities (MOQs) for sustainable and Fairtrade-certified fabrics. These materials must be sourced in bulk before production begins, meaning upfront investment is essential to offer quality at scale.
We’re looking for angel investors who understand the power of business as a force for good. Investors who believe in systems change, not just bottom lines.
